According to several sources north of the border, big Malky is looking to strengthen the Scottish-ness of his team with two more SPL signings.

The Hornet’s supremo is apparently tracking the progress of St Mirren pair Andy Dorman and Stephen McGinn. Both are out of contract at the end of June and as they’re outside of England will be able to talk to clubs in January.

Twenty year old McGinn has already formally rejected a contract offer from the ‘Buddies’ so it seems increasingly likely his future lies down South. McGinn is a Scotland U21 international has two caps and one goal for the Scots. McGinn is also capable of playing up top.

Fellow midfielder Dorman, 27, was linked with Cardiff City recently and made the bench for Wales in the 3-0 trouncing of Don Cowie’s Scotland having beaten the FIFA ruling despite having no Welsh heritage, Dorman qualifies having schooled there. Interestingly the Chester-born midfielder started his career in the USA with Boston University before making over 100 appearances for New England revolution.

Any potential administration would of course scupper the move for the duo.
