Ben Foster is likely to be on the bench for England`s Euro 2008 qualifier against Macedonia tomorrow (Wednesday).

Chris Kirkland – who made his England debut when coming off the bench against Greece last month – has been ruled out of the Skopje clash, leaving only Ben Foster as cover for Paul Robinson.

England boss Steve McClaren has decided against calling up a replacement but Scott Carson – who is currently with the under-21 side – has been placed on stand-by.

Although Foster, 23, currently on-loan from Manchester United, is yet to play for the Three Lions, many feel that he should be England`s first-choice ‘keeper.
