Manuel Almunia was your Vital Watford ‘Man-of-the-Match’ against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The experienced Spaniard took 68 per cent of your vote and was at his best to deny Greg Halford, Jamie Mackie and most impressively, substitute Ishmael Miller.

It was Almunia’s fine second-half display that earned the Hornets a hard-earned point against Billy Davies’ side.

Coming second to Almunia was wing-back Ikechi Anya, who scooped 16 per cent of your vote.

The diminutive wideman impressed down the right before moving to the left in place of Daniel Pudil when Davide Faraoni entered the fray.

Anya was unlucky not to score and was a constant menace throughout.

Rounding off the top three was Almen Abdi, the Swiss playmaker not as his best [the views of this observer], but clearly did enough to take six per cent of your vote.
