There might be a mere handful of hours to go before the transfer window slams shut for good this season but Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd is still hopeful he can pick up the odd nugget or two before midnight!

The Hornets skippers signed 3 players in the last minutes of last January`s window and it seems he`s hell bent on doing the same after seeing his promotion chasing Hornets squad fall foul of injury and suspension.

Boothroyd told the world’s press after Tuesday night`s draw with Sheffield United

I think we still need a little depth? It’s going to be a long haul and I’d rather have too many than too little…I need a couple of players that might be slightly different to what we have got.”

Watford have been linked with Leigh Bromby from the Blades (by our good friends at VitalSheffUtd) whilst rumours are picking up that Boothroyd has his eye on Spur`s 19year old reserve team centre back Dorian Devitte – and at 6ft4 the former Lens defender certainly does have the height that the Watford gaffer craves!

Anyhow?we shall see but the time is running out if Aidy is gonna make his move.
