That Aidy Boothroyd doesn`t muck around does he?

Just literally minutes after being announced as the new gaffer at Colchester United, he rides back into Watford and swipes John Joe O`Toole on loan.

The free scoring, shaggy haired Republic U21 international, who priced himself out of a move to Sheffield United in the summer, is reunited with the man who gave him his big Championship break until December 31st.

Hmmm, and according to the Hornets ‘fficial site, apparently that the loan deal went through BEFORE yesterday`s 5pm deadline, which kinda makes you wonder just what other deals were struck that we don`t know about yet.

O`Toole – a product of Watford`s sparkling Academy – was outstanding in Boothroyd`s reign, scoring 12 goals in 39 starts as well as earning his international spurs and Colchester fans should look forward to his arrival.

Knowing John-Joe he will be keen and eager to show just what he can do. Let`s not forget that there were reports of a million pound move to Newcastle or Wolves about 12 months ago?but that`s before he got dumped in the footballing wilderness.

Unleash your Raging Horn and have your say
Is O`Toole`s reunion with Boothroyd a move that echoes Rodgers signing Bridcott to be his eyes and ears in the dressing room whilst he settles into the hotseat?

How many of you are thinking you`d wish Aidy had also snatched Ellington and Sadler whilst he was at it?.? Maybe that was a little too much to hope for.

Good luck John Joe.
