Watford gaffer Aidy Boothroyd would have been over the moon to see Charlton`s Chris Dickson net a 90th minute equaliser at the Hawthorns on Tuesday night.

The late late strike for Alan Pardew`s men put the FA Cup replay into extra time and Boothroyd hopes that the rigours of 120 minutes of relentless cup action [ending in penalty heartache for the Addicks] could give his side an advantage at the weekend.

In his weekly email to supporters the Watford boss said “?hopefully their [Charlton] FA Cup replay with West Brom last night will have their left their legs a little heavier than ours come Saturday”.

The Hornets have enjoyed a full weeks rest – after they succumbed to their Deepdale demons up at Preston – and should be fresh going into a good ol` fashioned 6-pointer against Charlton at Vicarage Road, this Saturday.
