Paraguayan striker Javier Acuna has joined Watford on loan, as anticipated, after joining Udinese from Real Madrid B.
Acuna, 25, joined Udinese from Real Madrid’s B side and will immediately join the Hornets on a season-long loan deal, as confirmed by Udinese’s official site.
‘Udinese Calcio announces the acquisition of sports performance by Carlos Javier Acuña Caballero, striker born in Encarnación in Paraguay on 23-06-1988. In the last two seasons Caballero (175cm) wore the shirt of Girona, Spain Secunda Division, scoring 21 goals in 56 appearances. It will initially be loaned to Watford.’
Taking to Twitter (@cjac9) to confirm his arrival in Hertfordshire, Acuna expressed his pleasure at becoming a Hornet for the next year:

A Paraguay Under-17 and Under-20 international with 18 caps and eight goals across both levels, Acuna has previously turned out for Cadiz, Salamanca (loan), Real Madrid B and Recreativo (loan).
Welcome to Watford, Javier.
