Watford’s Under-18s got back to winning ways on Saturday, beating Luton Town 1-0

A GOAL from birthday boy Kurtis Cumberbatch helped Watford return to winning ways, beating Luton Town 1-0.

In a fairly even first-half, it took until the halfway point of the half for the Hornets to win the game, Cumberbatch beating Town ‘keeper Ben Barnes from 15 yards as he met a right-wing cut-back.

The Hatters pushed for an equaliser in the second half and saw Daniel Wilks deny Charlie Smith on more than one occasion.

Arel Amu had a goal chalked off for offside and saw another chance go to waste late on thanks to fine piece of last-ditch Watford defending.

Victory for Watford ended a run of two games without defeat, whilst also condemning Town to their first loss of the season.
