With plenty of speculation surrounding Leicester City’s interest in Troy Deeney and reported multiple bids being turned down by Watford – it’s now being said the club have offered him a new deal to secure his future at Vicarage Road.
The Watford Observer report that yesterday chief executive Scott Duxbury and Deeney’s agent Simon Kennedy met to discuss new terms on the deal following the reported £25million offer from the current Premier League Champions.
With a five year deal signed last summer, contractual length is not an issue and despite reports of Deeney wanting to leave – they remain without a single quote – and the Leicester Mercury are also reporting that whilst one bid was turned down, talk of multiple bids are totally wide of the mark in the nationals.
For Deeney himself, he has spoken about the speculation.
Funny how a couple of days ago I had left for 30 million and today I’m signing a new contract if you don’t know nothing keep quiet thanks 😘

I’m taking the advice – I know nothing.
