A cautious peer into the Lions den as the 2011/12 season draws ever closer…

Gaffer: Hornet’s favourite, Kenny Jackett who continued his impressive job in south London by guiding the Lions to a top-half finish last term.

Position 10/11: 9th. A pleasing finish to Millwall’s first season back in the second-tier.

In: Therry Racon, Darius Henderson and Jordan Stewart (All Free Transfers).

Out: John Sullivan, Ashley Grimes, Neil Harris (Relased), Steve Morison (Norwich City, undisc.), Theo Robinson (Derby County, undisc.) and Marc Laird (Leyton Orient, unisc.).

Star Player: Wideman James Henry took the the Championship like a duck to water last season having previously impressed in League One.

The former Reading youngster initially arrrived on loan at the Den before arriving permanently last summer.

Best Business: Darius Henderson on a free transfer looks shrewd. Beset by injuries last term, the big striker is a proven Championship scorer and will look to replace top-scorer Steve Morison.

Predicition: Due to the improved quality of the league, Jackett’s men will do well to finish in the top half next season but should be around the mid-table mark.
