Gaffer: Former England boss, Sven Goran Eriksson who turned the Foxes fortunes around last season after a worrying start to the season under Paulo Sousa.

His previous forays into English football were less successful with Notts County (as director of football), and Manchester City, where he was sacked as boss despite a reasonable campaign.

Position 10/11: 10th, and as earlier eluded to, a decent finish after a very poor start.

In: Lee Peltier (Huddersfield Town, undisc.), Kasper Schmeichel (Leeds United, £1m), Sean St Ledger (PNE, undisc.), Matt Mills (Reading, £5m), Paul Konchesky (Liverpool, undisc.), Neil Danns, David Nugent and John Paintsil (All Free Transfers).

Out: Ricardo, Robbie Neilson (Released), Michael Lamey (Wisla Krakow, free) and Jack Hobbs (Hull City, undisc.)

Star Man: Amongst an embarrassing collection of riches, homegrown Andy King is the Foxes standout player.

A dynamic, box-to-box midfielder with an eye for a goal, the young Welsh cap broke through in the 2007/08 season and has been a mainstay of the side ever since.

Best Business: The reconstruction of the back four. With a whole defence on loan much of last season, the recruitment of settled defensive options in John Paintsil, Lee Peltier, Matt Mills, Sean St Ledger and Paul Konchesky could prove very important.

Prediction: Anything less than promotion will be a failure. Luckily I think they will succeed!
