Gaffer: Simon Grayson, who having taken the club back into the second-tier will now be expected to get them back out of it and into the big-time once more.

Position 10/11 7th, which was a good finish for a newly-promoted side. That said, Whites fans were disappointed that their side had chucked away their Play-off spot.

In: Michael Brown, Paul Rachubka (Free Transfers) and Andy Lonergan (PNE, 150k).

Out: Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester City, £1m), Richard Naylor, Bradley Johnson, Neil Kilkenny and Shane Higgs (All Released).

Star Man: Workhorse forward, Lucian Becchio has been excellent since signing for the Yorkshire outfit three years ago scoring 49 in 123.

Despite his diminutive frame the Argentine puts himself about and works selflessly for the team, leading the line impressively to boot.

Best Business: Goalkeeper Andy Lonergan for a miserly fee of £150k is a steal.

The Scot has been consistently one of the best second-tier keeps for North End and replaces stroppy Dane Schmeichel ideally.

Prediction: Play-offs will be the expectation and I believe they’ll make it this time round.
